I was raised in a small town with my mom, 3 brothers and 1 sister. We are a very musical family. I grew up listening to music. My mom would always have the radio on. I grew up listening to Diana Ross, George Benson, Anita Baker, Sade, Stevie Wonder and Aretha Franklin to name a few. It wasn't unitl I was 7 and saw Annie for the first time that I started singing. From that moment on, I knew that I wanted to sing. I started perfroming in high school musicals and studied theather in college. After college, I decided that as much as I loved home it was a bit stifling so I picked up and left to go to NYC! I began pounding the pavement and going on audtion after audition which led me to Star Search, and made it to the semi-finals. It gave me the confidence to then start recording and I have been in the studio working hard. All I ever wanted to do was to sing and share my inner most thoughts with the world.
