About this user
Laurel Glen Vineyard, a 16-acre estate on Sonoma Mountain, is set high atop the tiny Sonoma Mountain AVA. Laurel Glen Vineyard was developed in 1977 by Patrick Campbell and is planted entirely to Cabernet Sauvignon exclusively on the Laurel Glen Cabernet Sauvignon clone. This proprietary clone was developed by Campbell and certified by the University of California at Davis. On the 30th anniversary of its first vintage, Laurel Glen Vineyard is set to evolve under the stewardship of Bettina Sichel, who will work with viticulturist Phil Coturri and winemaking consultant David Ramey to return the wine to its former prominence. The estate produces two wines, both 100 percent Cabernet Sauvignon: Laurel Glen Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon ($60) and Counterpoint ($30).
