WHAT DO THE STUDENTS THINK OF THE ACTING WORKSHOP?

Always good to stretch some muscles. Keeps you warm.
Allyne
Through our group discussion of the class handouts, hands-on experience and videoing our sessions, we are able to fully
understand the tools and tips we read about 1st hand. Being able to watch our sessions is the best teacher of all. We can
view both our strengths and short-comings. With each time we get to practice what we learn and review the video, we
improve. Valuable, also, is the input from others attending the class.

Kevin is a wonderful acting coach, director, filmographer, actor and editor...He really motivates us to do well and critique
eachother to better ourselves. I really liked the cold reads...because first of all Kevin filmed us...so we could see what we
were doing right and wrong...and For the first time I realized the reason I wasn't getting that much screen time was
because my side and back was facing the camera...and so I was able to change that...plus cold reading was fun...you don't
have to memorize the script and you can take pauses to catch other lines...which makes the process a lot more exciting and
you don't get in trouble for looking at your script...hehehe.

I enjoyed the class. I felt it was a good exersize to have a class on because, it helped me understand more of what is
expected in auditions. I realized the mistakes I was making durring the audition process and I learned to to correct them
and have a more sucessful audition =]

Always great! The group works so well together and Kevin is so thorough. It is obvious he loves what he is doing. I look

I am not an actor, but the little time I spent at the meetup was insightful. It's something difficult, but kevin puts it
together and makes it fairly simple.

We were able to film a few performances and I had the privilege to pair up with several times with different women for
the scenes. I really enjoy working wit this group. No egos, no B.S. - just actors who want to learn how to improve their
craft! Let's keep up the positive energy. Awesome!

Great oppertunity to meet with other actors to study scene work, film technique and other aspects of this craft. Kevin
brings so much to the table as a film maker, actor, director and coach. Best thing about the workshop is the supportive
collaboration among all who attend. Great fun and a creative space!

Great bunch of people, very good energy. Everyone is so helpful and positive. Whether your are a seasoned actor working
out a character or just starting out, FTA is definitely the place to be!

I thought it was good, but we should be warned when we are taping off the book-had I known I would have spent more
time in memorization.

Learning a lot in this scene study that I can use as a writer, actress, or presenter. Good stuff. I used to use another
method to memorize my lead parts and like the new one that Kevin presented.

Always great to work with a great bunch of peeps and learn techniques. You can evaluate you strengths and weakness's
by seeing yourself perform on camera.

From the moment you walk in you get a feeling of belonging from the other people. Everyone contributes. Tehre are
newbies and pros. Kevin gives his all in what he teaches. I'm so greatful to have found this group and can't imagine spending
a Saturday without them.

Any workshop exercises are helpful. The on camera stuff was very telling and informative although I would suggest putting
the camera more spot on for a time, as most auditions will be filmed that way, but we need to also shoot stuff wtih the
awareness of the camera at other places.I would suggest practicing scenes as close ,up then tight,medium close up etc. and
compare the differences to see how to do the expressions as per the type of shot. Some are improving and some are stuck
in their same old bad habits.
