Hello my name is Larry Smith and this is a place that I have set up on youtube.com where churches and ministers of music and others can listen to some of my music videos that I have available; so they can make a decision on whether to book me to sing at one of their church services or other Christian event.

The other reason that I have posted these videos on youtube.com is as a witnessing tool for those who do not know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. If that happens to be you and you think that you stumbled into this site by accident, maybe it wasn't an accident but maybe it was for a reason.

It is my hope that by my sharing these videos on youtube.com that it may be a small part in helping someone to decide whether to ask Jesus Christ into their life. I know that I asked him into my life in January of 1991 and I am so glad that I did because HE gave me peace within.

During the 1960's Larry Smith was involved playing bass guitar for a rock n'roll group that he and his older brother Terry had started while still in their teenage years in Toledo, Ohio. That group was called The Mods and the single 45-RPM recording that the group produced on PECK records sold at their concerts for $1.00 during the 1960's. That record now sells for as high as $550.00 on Ebay.com for a 45-RPM record in mint condition if you can find a copy.

I said that, to tell you this. Before Larry ever stepped on a stage to play rock n' roll his music roots started at the age of 12 years old, playing guitar and singing in church. Larry strayed away from the Lord for 27 years before rededicating his life to Jesus Christ in early 1991. Larry is no longer involved in rock n' roll but he is singing the praises of Jesus Christ through the music he was born to sing, which is Southern Gospel Music. In 1991 Larry gave his life to Jesus Christ and started singing in his home church's choir. In 1996 Larry felt impressed by the Lord to start his own solo music ministry and recorded his first Southern Gospel Music recording at the studio owned by Bill Gaither, Gaither Studios. Since that time Larry has traveled and sang at churches of all denominations in eight states sharing his own personal testimony while singing from the heart about the one he loves most, Jesus Christ.

In August of 2004 Larry and his wife moved from Holland, Ohio to Seymour, Tennessee which is just six miles south of Knoxville, TN. Since that time Larry has concentrated on establishing his solo music ministry in the greater Knoxville area and the rest of East Tennessee. When Larry is not busy traveling and singing at other churches, you will find him serving his home church South Knoxville Church of God by playing bass guitar for the Sunday worship services and performing an occassional solo for the congregation. South Knoxville Church of God is located at 5623 Magazine Road in South Knoxville.
