You are right - one need not understand how kriya yoga works in order to experience its benefits. In fact, when Yoganandaji taught me kriya yoga by means of intuition when I was 11 years old, he did not bother to teach me the "how."

But as a skeptical atheist approaching middle age, I could not have believed in the efficacy of kriya yoga sufficiently so that I would have been willing to practice it had I not immersed myself in the study of physics for years in order to understand how Yoganandaji gave me those "mystical" experience. Once I understood the phenomena through the filter of quantum physics, then I could see the truth of Yoganandaji's explanation in his language of "myth" (myth = a truth that surpasses intellectual understanding - according to the SMU chaplain).

Having understood, then I gave myself permission to commence practicing kriya yoga. And what a dramatic change it brought to my miserable life! Well worth the effort.

All arguments about written records seem to me to boil down to attempts to save a tradition or 'religion' whose fundamental premise is always the same: that order comes to us from external means and by transmission by 'authorities' as to what these traditions mean. The exact same modus operandi is evident in so-called spiritual systems or 'guru-param-para' and their claim to correctness and 'righteousness', but always with an importation of mythical traditions rationalized by 'interpretation'. There is something physiological about kriya yoga, and I don't see any need for it to be married to such interpretations.

it will establish the supermacy of ancient indian philosophy. the veds and upnishads keeps on saying this truth which the science is approaching today.
there is also one thing. you have completely ignored the concept of sound waves. there is a continuos sound occuring in all of us which we called anahat naad. any one can hera this sound in absolute silence. from where this is originating

sir , right now i m reading your 164 pages pdf autobigraphy. you have written awesum. quite thrilled by it. if science starts accepting reincarnation and consciousness and immortality of self or atama then there will be revolution in the field of spritualism and religion.

@ Mr. MrParveeng: I'm thrilled to learn that you teach physics! I've been looking for someone who might have time, patience, and knowledge who would like to critique my physics/meditation article (www.torealize.net/2c-physics.pdf). I'm sure you are busy like all of us, but if you were so inclined, I'd be immensely grateful for any recommendations for improvements.

Regarding awakening the kundalini shakti, believe me, I'm working on it every day, not fully finished with that work . . .

sir i m a teacher of physics here in india. i liked your autobiography very much. i m very fascinated by your depth in physics. i am a great admirer of shri paramhansa yogananda. i read his autobiography several times. i also do meditation. sir have you awakened your kundilini shakti

Such a kind comment! So appreciated. Getting into SRF is like marrying: There's the honeymoon, then - maybe the thrill is gone. Don't get lost during this period, which St. John of the Cross called "dark night of the soul." It, too, will pass if you persevere. Believe me, the effort is worth it. As Yoganandaji said, "A saint is a sinner who never gave up."

May you always feel God's love guiding you.

I have really enjoyed your videos. You're informative and entertaining at the same time! I'm still in the early stages of the lessons and learning about SRF and your videos have helped me quite a bit. I do hope you will continue sharing. You are a blessing.
