About Me:
Do not recite poetry to one who is not a poet"
Basically, Hip Hop has become music for swordsmen. People are only interested in battle rap, tearing an opponent under, bettering their name, getting rep, rewards, fame, another victory. It's why Wu-Tang uses the phrase "Sword" to refer to the tongue so much. "Draw your sword" is the same thing as, "Lets battle." I do not have a problem with the theory of battle verbally, in fact I apply to all my work. However, the level that the mainstream has stooped to, in terms of their adaptation of lyrics to battle is a farce. They have focused so much on it in fact, that they have taken the martial sense, the poetry, the true art in the mastery of words away. The goal of the movement, "Poetry For Swordsmen" is not only to bring back the true poetic and intelligent nature of hip hop, but to exemplify the ideal that not only is battle with poetry entirely possible, it is also more potent. A comparison of a drunken bar fight to a battle of Muay Thai and Tai Chi masters. The Art Of War, expressed clearly in every line, the ability to find weakness in ones opponents and in ones self, and elegantly crush it to nothingness. So exists the theory of:

Of course we released the Green Bay song around SuperBowl for publicity, but I am a huge packers fan and have been to a game in Lambeau Field. That son was made out of passion and listen to the rest of our music and talk to our fans if you still dont think we do this out of passion, my friend! Thanks for listening and taking the time to put some thought into our music. For that - you are amazing... :)
