About Me:

I am a 17 year old girl who loves animals, languages, horseback riding, swimming, spending time with family and friends, reading, and much more.

I love learning languages, as I mentioned before, and right now I'm teaching myself Swedish, which I have been learning for nearly 2 years now. My grammar is still awful, but I can usually understand written Swedish without too much difficulty. I do have a strange learning method--I started by watching Disney songs that had both Swedish lyrics and English translations, which helped me learn vocabulary. Then I began focusing on translating them myself, and then I started watching entire Disney movies in Swedish. Strange, yes, but also effective (at least for me). Hey, I'm surprised I've even learned this much, since I don't even have a teacher for Swedish. I'm also going to start my fourth year of learning Spanish at school after summer. Some other languages I'd like to learn are Russian, Norwegian, Finnish, Italian, French, German, and quite a few others.

My favorite sport is definitely horseback riding. "That's not a sport!" Actually, it is. There are teams-- the rider and the horse. There is constant physical activity. And there are competitions. In fact, horseback riding is even an Olympic Sport. Still think horseback riding is just sitting in a saddle, and not a sport at all? All right, let me see You post for an hour straight and tell me that's not physical activity. (Obviously I'm extremely passionate about this, but honestly, it's so irritating when people think they know what they're talking about when they really have no clue. I'd be willing to bet that people who don't think horseback riding is a sport don't even have a clue what posting is.)

I love getting mail, send me a message if you want to chat. =)
However, I DO NOT give out personal information, so please don't ask for it. Thanks.

Best way to learn Swedish would be to come here to Sweden and study. Right now universoty education is free in Sweden for everyone but that might change soon so you should probably come here now if you find it interesting :)

Oh and I know how it is to love languages, I currently speak four languages and I am learning Japanese (which is quite difficult). Best of luck!

Hi, thanks. You're right. There is a beauty in every language.Whatever film I watch with foreign language it always makes me want to learn the lang., but there are some more and some less. Understanding a language is the key for the culture and the mentality.
Sometime I wish I would be able to speak in every language =)
Have a great summer!

That's so awesome, I LOVE when people try to learn Swedish! When someone actually wants to speak our small, insignificant language I can't help feeling proud ^.^ How come you wanted to learn Swedish in the first place anyway? It's not like it's a commonly teached language in the US of A, right?

Hur som helst, Lycka till!

hi there. I saw your comment on the "he lives in you (swedish version)" video, I clicked on your channel and I saw that you're trying to learn swedish. I'm a swedish guy from the town of Gothenburg (Göteborg) and if you want I'd be delighted to help you with your swedish learning :) just write me if you have any questions regarding swedish or need translating from swedish - english or vice versa. as you have noticed, by learning swedish you recognize many things in norwegian (and danish as well I can tell you) so if you need any translating from norwegian or danish to swedish or english. as you know they are all closely related so I understand all three of them (although with considerable difficulty in spoken danish). just write me if and whenever you feel like it or need it and I'll help you as best I can, all right? =)

good luck with your swedish! - lycka till med svenskan!
regards from Sweden - hälsningar från Sverige =D
