Dug out my PS2 about a week ago and since then I've re-beaten Jak 2 and am considering going on to the third. It just goes to show how great these games really were now that they're still entertaining five years later.

@urolz20 Thanks, I really appreciate the effort that probably went into that. Hopefully you were impressed with the anime itself, otherwise I unintentionally wasted your time. Either way, though, I stand by what I said about a year ago: the soundtrack is almost unbeatable.

Started out really well, but the plot got pretty ridiculous down the stretch. Still, it had some pretty high quality horror/suspense, especially since the filmmakers mastered the subtleties. Lol I don't think I've ever been in a theater that quiet.

@historrober That heavily depends on your definition of genocide. For one thing, an act of war and an act of prejudice are two completely different things. The U.S. didn't bomb German and Japanese cities in the name of hatred for those living there, but only as means for defeating the countries...

Giant robots, basketball, and disproportionate busts? Well, this one's a winner. Looks like no one told the Japanese it doesn't take millions of dollars in machinery to put a ball in a hoop.

lol this OP is so flashy and colorful that my computer is going comatose trying to buffer it. Umineko is awesome, and the opening is sick.

I didn't really think Cowboy Bebop lived up to the hype until the last few episodes....intense. The only thing that rivals it in terms of character development and plot solidity is Monster, which is (IMO) the best anime out there. Damn, though, Bebop was special. Wish there was a season 2, 3, ...

These guys were pretty cocky to call this the greatest animated film of all time. Miyazaki put together some really impressive stuff over the years, and I hear Akira was phenomenal. Still, Metroplois was unique and interesting as hell.

This is probably the only anime that can make confusing the shit out of its audiences a good thing. If I understood what the hell was happening half the time, I doubt it would be anywhere near as good. The overly complex plot is just what makes Lain....Lain.

The constant gasps of horror from the students in the background is what pissed me off the most about this anime. SHE PUNCHED HIM OMG OMG THE WORLD IS ENDING

Man this scene is awesome. LOL Golgo sounds about fifty years older in the Japanese version, but nothing can lower the greatness of this movie in any way. Thanks for the upload.

The movie itself is so awesome that this seriously shouldn't bother anyone. The only people who are bashing the anime for this scene are the ones who haven't seen it at all. Although animation inconsistency has been the downfall of many animated productions, Golgo 13 pulls it off easily because...

@sazmullium Yeah, Anthony Hopkins definitely did a great job with the eeriness and disturbing perceptiveness that we all associate with Lecter. To me, both movies were awesome, but Silence of the Lambs was easily better. Anyway, as long as we're both fans of the series itself, we aren't so diff...

If you have time, you should also post the deaths of Boromir from LOTR and Schwarzenegger from Terminator 2. Those are some really kickass scenes.
