I wonder what happend to the soldiers of chinese origin who served in the Royal Hong Kong regiment?Were they dismissed after the hand over or integrated into the chinese PLA?

As far as I know, this Hans Friedrich was reported to the police by a guy who watched this documentary on german TV and he was arrested and indicted of having comitted war crimes during WWII. I don´t know if he has been put on trial and sentenced
