~ Ive been editing for 3 years or so, I enjoy film making and abstract perspectives, yet I don't film much. I prefer the gerne of editing to music rather than filming. Considering how music is such a big thing in my life, for it is where I escape reality, I like to share my feelings with others. The insperation to edit "Horse/Equestrian" related videos was simply instinct. I got my first horse when I was 10, after I quit ice skating. Kate was a 6 year old, spunky oldenburg warmblood with a fantastic gate. Of course, she was green.... Greener than most mares and had an attitude of... I dont even want to go there. She had her moments. First time I rode this mare (I had done some lessons before) was bareback and walking around. Nothing exciting, but when I saddled her up and trotted her over a pole she literally bolted and bucked me off. This was the first of MANY.. Im talking MANY falls. After having a bad accident jumping with this mare, and almost breaking my spine we decided to move into dressage. And dressage became my life, my way of expression. This mare has a bloodline like no other, with grand prix and FEI level dutch warmbloods in her blood, she was a quit learner. Oh, and did I mention? She bucked me off probably 5 times a month. We had a love hate relationship. Sprinklers went off? She'd bolt. A horse cantered by? She'd bolt. But beside that she was one of the most well tempered mares and would actually listen when in the ring. As contradicting as that is, its true. Its been 6 years since that day and Kate is the sweetest, and most darling mare ive ever owned. Ive become a fantastic rider and can actually stay on her when she bucks. Consider this, all the trainers that rode my horse- Buck'd off. Even her old owner who grew up with her. I was the only one able to sit on this damn mare. And as a result, Im able to ride hot stallions that are scittish. Simply because I work well under a bad situation and stay calm. Thats my story mainly, Kate had a dutch warmblood baby 2 years ago, who is looking amazing. He has a HUGE gate and I cant wait to break the little guy. Wish me luck!
