It's important that all Mexicans learn their roots in today's modern society, we are expected to embrace Spaniard/European identity which isn't truly our identity. ALL natives to north America have been FORCED to learn white culture, all our indigenous history has been taken from us which is apart of who we are as a people. We are indigenous to this North American continent, we deserve respect, all Native Americans no matter what tribe/nation you come from, we are all ONE PEOPLE on this landmass and we all are very similar no matter if you are indigenous to the north or south of the Americas. People who don't respect Mexicans in particular have a racist vendetta against us, they all want to make us believe that we aren't native people, that we are 'illegal' and have no right to migrate on this land, but it's okay that their ancestors to come illegally from Europe!
It is important to learn our identity because many have lost it, and if you know your roots embrace them and be proud of who you are and where you came from. Whether you are Sioux, Ohlone, Nahuatl (Mexica), YOU ARE special and belong to this North American continent, don't let anyone say that you are illegal! Es importante que todos los mexicanos conocer sus raíces en la sociedad moderna de hoy, se espera para abrazar español / identidad europea que no es realmente nuestra identidad. TODOS los nativos de América del Norte se han visto obligados a aprender la cultura blanca, toda nuestra historia indígena ha sido tomado de nosotros que se aparte de lo que somos como pueblo.
