Everybody knows that every end contains a new beginning -- and viceversa. Thank god.
Beginnings are the best. You remember the first months you've spent with a girl, not the 5 th year you've been together.
In Fields' Beginnings (meaning both the EP and the title track) feel just like that. They make you feel good like a brand-new start.
As you listen to this record you'll find out that there are hundreds, thousands, millions of beginnings in it.
One second you're sure that No Romance sounds like David Byrne has finished an instrumental for Talking Heads after drinking too much, one second later it reminds you of that spacey disco record you bought at Rough Trade in 1986 -- and you feel good like a brand new start.
Beginnings are the best. You remember the first months you've spent with a woman, not the 5th year you've been together.
Well, unless it's La Belle.

The Bacchanalia was a religious festival in honor of the wine god Dionysus (called Bacchus by the Romans).
Even since old times the effects of mixing alcohol and lots of people together were known: you can consider these wild and excessive religious rites as alcohol and music fueled orgies involving any willing citizen with no limits of class and age.
(Diei iocosus sermo*: When the Romans started bacchanalia up around 200 B.C., they quickly became so popular that they were held five times a month after just some years.)
So -- trust disco emperor Rodion, mister Khan, berlin-based ex-Captain Comatose member, and their imperial groove.
Trust the sweet-wine stained groove, the luscious atmospheres, the naked discopop vocals of the title track Discoteca Romana, featuring the vocal performance by Andrea, lead singer from italian band Le Rose, and Cascao from Cascao & Lady Maru.
Surrender to Rodion & Khan, the messiahs of imperial-disco.

From the Swans EP - OUT 19.12 on La Belle Records with an In Flagranti remix.
Buy it on http://www.beatpo... .
The Deadstock 33s (that basically means semi-mythological producer Justin Robertson, for whom of you who might not know) is seriously one of the most amazingly interesting projects out there.
They describe themselves as" A kind of rural backwater psychedelia" and their songs truly bring you out there.
Get your (free) ticket for Spirit World, a borderless, chemical fueled helluvaride which will become, no doubt about it, your favourite Saturday 2am soundtrack.
Reader. Listen to The Deadstock 33s' Swans.
You will maybe find an unpredictable and unexpected surprise. And it's up to you to make it big.
(Fun fact of the day 1: Do you know that the swan, although being the only bird having a penis, mates for life? Isn't that a huge waste?)
This simply wonderful animated video is a John McCloskey work. Thanks to Raw Nerve and Kaiyang @ Ma3.tv.

Like -- just take a listen to Swans, the title track, a wonderfully, bitterly glowing melting pot of Clash-y vibes, Neu!disco basslines and balearic drums.
