She was ahead of her time. Only my opinion, but after Anthem (& even in some parts of Anthem) she kind of went kitsch. During and after Anthem it became more like pantomime (compare "I Want to be Free" with "Bird in Flight", same sentiment, but one was lip service, the other was heartfelt poetry...
