ps - thank you for your polite and thoughtful response...it's easy for so many to become defensive on YouTube. Also, Age Of Reason is a great read and I say that as a Christian, unashamedly. Thomas Paine is one of my heroes on so many levels and anyone who will call out BS with ANY group gets my respect. The Founders rejected attempts by some to create a Theocratic state (like the one in England they'd just escaped from) and I'm glad they did. Though many Founding documents are rooted in Judeo-Christian ethics, I'm proud of the balance that was maintained in their core ideals of self-determination, freedom of thought....and a truly free people. In such a society, my beliefs are free to inform and shape policy, just as much as your own (whatever they may be), as long as, at the end of the day, one is not infringing on another's liberty....and that is a beautiful thing. :)
