@EricJamesHanson My mom recalls that once a year Vallee would have his band up to the cottage in Maine, no kids allowed, for some R&R. They did play music, as well as water polo, water skiing, and more. It's my grandfather's work you hear on the drums on this recording. So, EricJamesHanson, your ...

@SatanFang You are mistaken. Taking offense is a choice, not an emotion. If one says or does something intended to offend - by saying, for example, "You're a moron" - it's cruel and pointless; being offended by it is also pointless (and perhaps immature, as well). People do not GIVE offense; only...

I'm a web designer with extremely eclectic musical tastes. I'm here to collect videos, share videos when I acquire some of my own, and network with people who need or create web pages.I'm also here to see if I can connect with anyone who has recordings from the '20s, '30s, and '40s on which my grandfather, drummer Frank Frisselle, is a performer - featured or otherwise. He was with Rudy Vallee throughout the '30s, and Mal Hallet before that. He played briefly with Paul Whiteman, too. Anyone know of him?
I'm smart, funny, and interested in all kinds of film, music, and television. I have 1 1/2 grandchildren and don't get to see them nearly often enough. Well, I've only seen on picture of the half grandchild, but he or she will make his/her appearance in August, and then I'll have a handful!
@anneoco1 I've known Eleanore's family since before she was born, know her singing style and abilities, and was delighted to find this. It may be that she was directed this way in the show; if so the music director must have been an idiot. However, the physical demands of this style of singing ha...
