My name is aka formally known as LEO . My interest in music started when I was six years old living in New Jersey. I started singing when I was seven, it all took place at home. I listened to my mom singing around the house, it made me want to sing. So i began singing for fun. My mom heard me, and told me that I had a nice voice so from that point on I knew singing was something that I was born to do. My voice encouraged me to sing in front of people, I wasn't scared to show people my talent. In middle school when I was in seventh grade, I was in class and the teacher gave the class an assignment to work on, the assignment was to pick out a verse from a song that I knew of, and our options were to sing it, or read it in front of the class. When it was my turn I stood up in front of the whole class and sang with energy and passion. Since that day I felt like the center of attention. I had people coming up to me all the time asking me if I could sing to them. This is what helped me find the security and confidence that I needed to preform in front of people. Not only did that give me the confidence to sing, but also to start writing songs. By age eight, I wrote my first song entitled "alone in the dark". This was based on a boy who needed to find his way out of hard times. Little by little I noticed my music starting to mature. My lyrics became more about reality then fantasy. I would make a beat in my head, think of a title then based the song off of that. When writing my songs I thought of my past and what surrounded me, and I took little pieces of my life and made them into music that others can relate to.
