About this user

I started on the path toward better nutrition a little less than a year ago when my little brother was diagnosed with crohn's disease. It was hard to deal with the fact that at 18 years old my "healthy" (or what I considered healthy at the time) baby brother had to endure incomprehensible pain along with the fear of the unknown.
Having little to no prior knowledge about Chrons disease and what it entailed I spent countless hours studying various sources. What I found from my extensive research was that diet majorly affects the severity of the disease and in fact in one book I read a man was able to heal himself through proper diet and nutrition. From that moment on I decided I didn't want him to have to go through this alone, and so from that day on I have been searching for ways to perfect my health and in turn help my family as well. It's not fair to see someone you love battle with any type of chronic illness, but I have to be thankful for the fact that I still have him here with me (Some people aren't so lucky).

Through all of this I have learned that with proper nutrition, it is possible to live a long and happy life!
I love my family and my life too much to let poor diet and nutrition stand in the way of me living life to the fullest!

And I hope that you all feel the same! ;)
