Frane Kuss, young composer and conductor, was born in Split (Croatia) in 1986. He completed the primary and the secondary musical education at the Josip Hatze School of Music in Split and wrote his first compositions at the age of ten. In 2005 he enrolled both to Composing and Music Theory Department at the Music Academy of Zagreb in class of Mo. Marko Ruzdjak. In 2003 he started studying conducting with Mo. Ivan Repusic in Split (opera director of Croatian National Theatre) and from 2005 to 2006 has attended classes with Mo. Vjekoslav Sutej in Music Accademy in Zagreb, as well as with Mo. Uros Lajovic, from 2006 to 2007, at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. Currently he lives in Vienna and is a student of conducting in class of Mo. Maksimilijan Cencic at Prayner Konservatorium. In 2005 at the age of 18 he made a concert debut as a conductor with one of the best European Mandolin Orchestras Sanctus Domnio from Split wich had great success with critics and audience. Later, they continued the collaboration and in October 2006 with Mo. Vladimir Lukas they made DVD recordings of their concert in Zagreb. In summer 2006 was engaged, as a singer with Chamber choir Ivan Filipovic from Zagreb at The 4th World Choir Games in China (gold and silver medal), and The 7th Taipei International Choral Festival. In order to develope his musical knowleges and talent, in 2007 he started learning opera singing with Mo. Bojan Pogrmilovic at the "Vatroslav Lisinski" School of Music in Zagreb and has made few successfull piano concerts where has played his own music. Frane is member of Croatian School of Folklore, Croatian Association of Music Theorists and Croatian Composer's Society.
