A modern fairytale
Gabriella Quevedo, born in Sweden Jan 12, 1997
- she goes to school more or less happy as usual,
- she meets friends in the school and in the afternoon,
- she plays football with her brother - ARGENTINA (!!!),
- she loves to hear music which is usuall in this age,
- she hugs the family pet Caesar,
- she loves Sweden,
- she loves Argentina,
- she enjoyes life, and she loves to play the guitar ...
As you can see easily: a very normal youth in west Sweden so far.
A girl grows up in Kinna, Västra Götalands län, Sweden: Gabriella Quevedo. Her dad -- a guitarist with Argentinian roots - playes his guitar all day long and she loves to listen to his music. When Gabriella turned to 12 years she one day picked her dad's Yamaha and tried to play herself. "Yes, playing guitar by myself is so much fun" and she continued to teach herself ...

There are thousands of guitar videos you can find on Youtube and in the small town of Kinna near Gothenburg SE too of course. One day in Aug 2009 Gabriella found a video showing Sungha playing the guitar and she felt in love with this kind of guitar music: fingerstyle! This guitarstyle indeed guided Gariellas life into another direction! Her father already recognised her talent and decided to buy an instrument personally for his daughter. Another Yamaha in shiny black color - like his own one -- and with a cutaway too ...
Gabriella was really happy with it and practised hours and hours every day, always listening and watching the video's of Sungha or other Youtube heros. At this time Sungha already was well known in the internet world for his guitar skills. On Jan 24, 2010 she uploaded her first guitar video on Youtube, one year after starting with the guitar in general and only three month after her decision "... to become a professional fingerstyle guitarist ... " ! Due to some smart tips from Germany Gabriella was able to contact her guitar idol Sungha via his PR manager Dee Kim - just some days before Sungha was playing a gig in Sweden. "If you are going to visit Sungha's gig in Växjö just ask you want to meet him and want to play with him on stage" this German was writing in an email.
Unbelievable ... unreal ... unexpected ... a dream only ... Gariella indeed received an invitation to meet Sungha and his staff and she got the chance to play on the same stage and together with her idol! What a blast and what a fantastic experience! This short one-day-meeting with Sungha again moved her musical life some big steps forward and so it goes ... "Keep it up Gabriella and don't stop playing! You are absolutely right: Fingerstyler have more fun !!!"
This fairytale started with " ... she loves to play the guitar ... " Listen to Gabriellas music and be assured you will fall in love with this music too. Be a small part of this story yourself and support Gabriella to develope her music and help to make her dream becomes true: "I want to become a professional fingerstyle guitarist!"
