About this user
With a voice that never fails to get people on their feet, Krystle is fast becoming one of Durban's favourite performers. With a quirky, likeable personality and a vocal range that enables her to sing most genres, Krystle is at home on any stage.
One of Mnet Idols V top 35, Krystle comes from a strong theatrical background. Her wealth of experience in theatre began at the tender age of 16, when she performed in the Unilever Young Performers project of "Oliver" and the following year in "Fiddler on the Roof". In 2006 she was part of the Playhouse Company's production of 'The Sound of Music' and was snapped up by them again for their 2008 production of 'Unforgettable'. In 2007 she took part in the hit musical, "Guys and Dolls". She has also taken part in several musical revues such as "A touch of Broadway", Ebony & Ivory" and "Vintage Rocks", "Stagestruck", "Feeling good" and "Special Star." Her dinner theatre experience includes uShaka's "Luther", "The Entertainer" and "Celebration" performing with some of South Africa's finest artists. But it was in her role as 'Bloody Anne' in the uShaka production of 'Buccaneers' that Krystle proved her flair for comedy. A leading role in the hit production 'Carnival Time' at Amanzimtoti's 'House of Theatre' followed. Audiences will be able to see her as 'Grace' in The Playhouse Company's production of 'Cinderella' in the 2011 Christmas season.
Krystle also has experience performing at corporate events and international openings around the country and is currently recording her debut album.
