:D. As I've said in the past, people always say my music sounds like video game music. I really ought to talk to some people and try and work on some projects eh?
Thanks for the comment though man. Glad to see someone is listening heh.
I've been having some annoying problems with uploading stuff on youtube lately. So my latest track hasn't gone up yet. That's up on my soundcloud and bandcamp if you care to listen.
I agree with this entirely, aside from the fact that I genuinely enjoy all subs more than dubs including Beepbop and all the shows you listed.
My reason is that I find an emotional disconnect when the shows get translated. Almost every show I've watched dubbed I've run into the problem where I feel as if the voice actors were holding back in comparison to the Japanese ones.
It might just be in the language but that's my problem. None of the other "dubs are bad" arguments make sense nowadays.
Your last sentence conflicts entirely with what you said earlier. "K-ON overall was an over hyped, poorly executed SoL anime that doesn't immerse you in something called... what is it called again... oh yeah! PLOT"
Everything you said about a good SoL is what I got from K-ON.
SoL, is about 70% of what I watch. Seeing such a bold claim was rather jarring. I'm glad when a person has a strong opinion, but speaking so dogmatically is dangerous.
Just figured I'd clarify what my problem was.
I disagree entirely. People need to learn that shows do not need to follow a strict structure with a major plot, character development, plot twists and story arcs.
There are no required elements for something to be good. Music doesn't need lyrics, harmony, rhythm, melody, or anything like what most westerners believe it needs. There is plenty of awesome and moving pieces that will play a single note for 30 minutes.
If you ask me, all those serious animes that follow that are the boring ones.
