About Me:
Kristin Barone, Piano received her Bachelors degree in Piano Performance from Adelphi University in May, 2006. She graduated Cum Laude and also was honored with the James Gould award for Excellence in Music. Some performance highlights include: participation in a recital at Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall in December 2004. In April 2005, Kristin participated in a piano master class in Plovdiv, Bulgaria where she was coached by the acclaimed Russian pianist Tamara Puddabnaya. In October 2006 Kristin was invited back to Adelphi to perform Cesar Franck's Symphonic Variations for Solo Piano and Orchestra as an alumna under the baton of Christopher Lyndon-Gee. Kristin has completed her Masters Degree in Piano Performance from the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College in May, 2008 while studying with Morey Ritt. Kristin Barone and Peter Finarovsky have been collaborating as a piano duo since Fall 2006. The "Barone-Finarovsky Duo" completed their Artists Diploma in Chamber Music while studying under Professor Morey Ritt at Queens College in May 2009. Here, they specialized in Two Piano and Four Hands music. In addition to her duo, Kristin Barone has been collaborating with Counterpoint-21 since August 2010. Through Linda Wetherill's counterpoint competition based in Lucca, Italy, Kristin was invited to perform in Savola (Liguria) & at the "Chestnut Museum of Colognora", Italy. Ms. Barone is currently preparing to pursue a Doctoral Degree in Piano Performance in the near future.
