Kristen Basore, soprano, is at home with several vocal genres from musical theatre,jazz, and contemporary to opera, operetta, oratorio, and early music. She has performed with American Entertainment Productions, 6 Flags, Carnival Cruise Lines, Jason Hudy Productions and several musical theatre and opera companies. Some of her favorite roles performed are Mrs. Nordstrom (A Little Night Music), Emma Carew (Jekyll & Hyde), Sister Monica Marie (Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up?), Ensign Janet McGregor (South Pacific), Jessica (The Melody Lingers On), Lucy (Menotti's The Telephone), Emmie Spashett (Britten's Albert Herring), Despina (Mozart's Cosi fan Tutte), and Amor (Monteverdi's L'incoronazione di Poppea). She also sang the soprano solos for Bach's Magnificat BWVa, Stanford's Magnificat in G, Bach's BWV 150, as well as Raminsh's Missa Brevis with the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra for their summer festival series. Kristen was a finalist in the Dr. Marjorie Conrad Peatee Art Song Competition, The National Association for the Teachers of Singing Competition, and The Greek Young Musician's Competition.

Kristen holds Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Vocal Performance from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio. She is currently a Show Band Vocalist aboard Carnival Cruise Lines.
