KrethX is a collaboration between a couple of heavy metal musicians. We take our inspiration from a number of bands from the past and present. We're currently working on the album "Wielder of the Blade". Info about this can be found on our main site.

About Me:

I've been a musician since I was around 9 years old. I got my first guitar back in 1977 and started playing various rock tunes until I heard two bands: Ozzy and Van Halen. That changed everything. I spent the majority of the 80's playing in a few bands that did mostly covers and then started in the 90's and 2000's focusing primarily on original material. Currently, I play mostly original stuff, but watching a lot of the folks here has inspired me to try my hand at covers again. It's tough to play covers when you're not used to it!

My band's name is KrethX. What's a KrethX? KrethX is a magical sword that is part of the album "Wielder of the Blade" that I'm currently working on (check out my site for the full story details and such). There are only two members in the band since we do all the recording from home and don't have much time these to get into the gig scene. I do all the guitars, bass, vocals, and orchestration for the music and Ron Burgoyne does all the drums and percussion work. And we both do the mixing and such.

Amp: None really. I go direct for everything and use monitors to hear stuff.
