Not wireless? Hrm. That's not what the manufacturer says. Verifone's product listing page for the Vx510 says: "The Vx 510 offers built-in connectivity options (dial, Ethernet or GPRS wireless), expanding your future business options."

the camera is attached to a skimming device that fits over the card acceptance slot and reads the data stored on the card's magnetic stripe. the thief can then take that card data, encode it onto anything with a magnetic stripe, and match the timestamp on the video footage of the PIN entry with the timestamp of the card being inserted into the card slot, then create his own card and cash the account out using the PIN.
