I enjoyed watching your fishing video. I use telescopic poles for most of my freshwater fishing to catch roach, perch, trout, carp, eels and some native Australian native fish. A fun way to fish.

Roughly how long was your cane pole and length of line? When I lived in Tasmania, I was fishing with a 6 foot spinning rod and dapped a big bushy Red Tag in front of a large trout that took it. He went 15 inches but only weighed just over 2 pound.
