At last, MegaMan Unlimited now has an official trailer!
The game is still under development though. I'm going to post updates when the game is ready. MegaMan Unlimited is a PC game developed by MegaMan fans. It has been in development for a few years now. We do this in our free time so I can't provide a precise release date yet. It's going to be free.
At the moment of the release of this trailer, the game has all 9 Robot Masters functional. 8 Robot Master stages out of the 9 are designed and the 9th "secret" one is still in the enemy tweaking/placement phase. (Almost done) All enemies (except one) are functional. Music has been redone for JetMan, TrinitroMan, NailMan and the Title Screen. We still have a few songs to re-do. Among them, one of the Wily Stage songs and a couple of other improvements are needed here and there. Wily stages have most of their enemies placed but still require tweaks because: - We still need to implement the special weapons system and Rush. - Wily Bosses are still not implemented. We also have to implement the menus, cutscenes and save/load feature. The game still has many bugs we need to fix too. But we've come a long way since the start of the project. I can't thank all of those who helped me enough.
Thanks a lot to Tasse MSX from the MegaMan 72 project for pointing me in the direction of the latest FRAPS software to capture the footage correctly and for overall support! ^_^
Enjoy the trailer!
To follow our progress, I encourage you to check out the Facebook page of MegaMan Unlimited. This is where we post detailed updates as stuff gets done. facebook.com/pages/MegaMan-Unlimited/114325318655039

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is a 'misc' movie, which means it's just a short sample, not a complete longplay. The main purpose is to show a bit from the game. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Game release year: 1998
Played by Ironclaw
Awesome game! Checked some YouTube videos of the PC version and this is a very nice port of the game. Also saw some cool-ass weapons you'll get later, but I only played 3 levels or so, so you won't see much.
The game is limited to 15fps by default. One of the F-keys removes this limit but then it ran at 200+ frames or something for me. I could lower the emulation speed, but all more frames does is speed up the game. I wanted to keep the original 15fps speed as I find that's a good pace. So, for instance, 30fps would just double the speed instead of keeping it at 100% but at 30fps. So, I kept it 15fps. You can see I disable and enable the speed limiter in the beginning of the first level + the light FX.
I've only played the first level before, and a few second on the next one. So while playing this time, everything beyond that was new to me. I forgot to check how to change weapons so there's no weapon changing (only when I pick up a new weapon). I was under the impression that every wall with a crack in it could be destroyed so you could walk through it, but seems like this wasn't the case. Couldn't find a pattern. Some walls with green on them but no crack could be destroyed, some without green and just a crack could be destroyed, some with both green and a crack couldn't etc. So, if I play this again, I'm gonna shoot all walls :P
Funny how the save point system thingy shows "C:\ABUSE\LEVELS..." which is PC stuff :P. But, it's a straight port so.
The sound cracks a bit now and then. I used the default sound mode thingy, 'paula 8 bit stereo' I think. Should have tried other ones, but too late now. Had 24 different ones to choose from.
