Mark Kovnatskiy

Mark Kovnatskiy is despite his young age an already much-travelled and respected klezmer violinist. He is also a highly estimed Yiddish composer, dance specialist and musical Director of the international jewish music festival "Yiddish Fest Moscow".

He has performed and taught at many festivals around the world.

In addition to his own project "Hamburg Klezmer Band", Mark performs with Dr. Alan Bern (USA/GER), "Merlin Shepherd Kapelye" (UK/GUS), "Painted Bird" (DE), "Queen Esther Klezmer Trio" (DE/LV), "Fialke" (DE), "Aaron Alexanders Midrash Mish Mosh" (USA) and many others and continues to teach Yiddish music and dance world-wide.

His own klezmer compositions have been played by groups from all over the world.
