The film was a flop in the US market, The director Luc Besson, put the blame on the cuts and adaptations made by the US distribuitor, "The Weinstein Company".
They are the English language distributor. They changed the name to "Arthur and the Invisibles", and made several cuts, after the dubbing was made.
They cut a mayor point in the plot of the film. Selenia needs to be married before two days, since she will be the new ruler of the Minimoys. The evil "M" knows that, so he wants to capture her to became king, and restore his powers.
Fortunately, only the US DVD has the cuts, the international DVD version have the locale language version and the full English version.
I think there are more deleted scenes, if you know another, please tell me.
