On August 13th, 2011 was the day that my dear friend lincoln passed away, at first i had no idea what was going on. i went to my church for this thing called fuel, like i normaly do, i arrived at my church a little late and when i got there on of my leaders led me into the cafe. and then i saw pictures of lincoln. all i kept thinking was "wait a minute, whats going on?" and then i thought the worse possible thing. but then i said " no, no it cant be that. of all things not that." when i saw my small group leader, i asked her what happened. she told me that yesterday (august 12th, 2011) lincoln had went hiking and went up a path and slipped and fell straight into the water and drowned. my heart started to go really fast, i was completely speechless. she asked me if i was okay and i shook my head yes, but i really wasnt, i fell to my knees and started crying my eyes out. i kept questioning god "why god? why lincoln, of all people?" i knew god was taking good care of lincoln, but i just couldnt get over the fact that i saw him like 2 days before and now it was like he just vanished. later on in the week there was a really big storm with thunder and lightning. soon after the storm was over, there was a double rainbow. i knew that was a sign from god to let us all know lincoln was safe. i felt relieved after seeing that. to this day i still am very shocked that lincoln passed away, but i know he is in good hands and one day when i die, i will spend eternity with him and god and the rest of my family. i miss you dearly lincoln ♥
