Kirshbaum Demler & Associates, Inc., located on New York's Upper West Side, has built a solid reputation as a highly personalized Artist Management and Public Relations office that represents a small, but eminent roster of artists. The company specializes in press campaigns and programs for the arts, particularly those supporting classical musicians, ensembles and institutions.

In 1980, Ms. Kirshbaum opened an office in her own home with one part-time employee. At that time, it was her philosophy to balance office staff with artists to enable ongoing personal interaction. Today that equation still holds true as all aspects of management, booking, servicing, and public relations are carried out by only a handful of employees who are fully aware of each artist's special needs. The clients who joined Shirley Kirshbaum & Associates were selected on artistic merit, depth of character, and a desire to work on exciting and innovative projects.

Susan Barker Demler joined the company in 1991 as an associate and then director of booking, public relations and servicing. In 1994, with her guidance, the firm added a vocal division to its artist roster. In 1999 a partnership was formed, and Kirshbaum Demler & Associates, Inc. continues to be held in high esteem as a firm noted for its excellent work and meticulous attention to detail.
