Well, Earthbound's a good game and very light on the plots, but a little outdated. Mother 3 improves over Mother 1 and Earthbound, but the story is darker and sometimes lags. If you're gonna follow me, try out Earthbound. Otherwise, you can try out Mother 3.

I will admit since I personally liked Infernape. Otherwise, I wouldn't say Gen IV's starters were missing a balance between Chimchar and the two others Turtwig and Piplup. I could easily scorch them with my infernape. lol.
