About this user
I have had a lifelong interest in music but, owing to the constraints of money and time, I was never able to nurture it. Finally, four years ago, I bought a guitar and started playing it at home. One night, one of my co-workers talked me into going to the Port Perry Fiddle Club. I was very reluctant but I put my guitar in my old truck and headed for Port Perry. I was terrified standing up in the hall in front of 250 people but, after several deep breaths, I sang and played two songs. I was hooked. Since then, I have played regularly at nursing homes in the City of Kawartha Lakes, at the Carden Fiddle Club, Port Perry Fiddle Club, the Oakwood Fiddle Jam, various Legions, churches and private parties. I played two years ago at the music contest sponsored by KX96, the country music station in Oshawa. I have enjoyed this enormously and have met amazing and interesting people along the way.
I have just recorded my first CD, Calypso Country, with my music teacher, Robert Benoit in his studio in Oakwood, Ontario.
