Can ya read? Those who did not submit were killed; those who submitted had to pay the tax for not being a muslim. I can't recall the term zukhat or soemthing like that. Submit or die. Many converted because it was much easier to get along that way. Not converting was a harsh life with few rights....
@BigBlackRod I guess it's deffinatley a different generation. I wouldn't buy any of the modern stuff. I go to the movies now maybe once a year--not because I don't want too, but there's just nothing worth seeing too me.
