Born on April 21, 1991 in Toronto's Rexdale neighbourhood, "King Tut" defines the Canadian Dream. The younger of two children, he was born late enough to avoid many of the hardships his family went through as immigrants to Canada. While he was still very young, his family was able to move out of the violence, drugs, and filth of their west-end apartment to the relatively safe suburb of Brampton. It was in Brampton that Tut would grow up and be exposed to music of all sorts. Having a mother who was born and raised in the U.K, and a father from India allowed him to be exposed to musicians on each end of the spectrum -- from Michael Jackson to Daler Mehndi. However, it was hip-hop that began to garner his full attention when he would overhear his older cousins listening to artists such as Dr. Dre and Tupac. Growing up, the love for music was always there, but it was put on the side as Tut would repeatedly find himself on the wrong side of the law. Fortunately, his natural smarts and drive to succeed allowed him to make wiser decisions as he matured. King Tut did not begin taking music seriously until he was given a bootleg version of FL Studio by his childhood friend and fellow producer Kaezer at the age of 17. After that, he began producing hip-hop beats for many local artists and quickly made a name for himself in Toronto's underground scene. In the summer of 2012 King Tut and Kaezer decided that it was time to begin recording on their own beats -- a move that would allow them to take complete creative control of their music from beginning to end. Music is a hobby for this motivated young man, in addition to being a producer and recording artist, he is a university student that is bent on becoming Canada's next real estate development icon. Through all the ups and downs in his life, he was always able to depend on three things -- his family, music, and the band of brothers he first met when he moved to Brampton's Springdale neighbourhood.
