Name's Zakk. I'm from the small New England state in the northeast section of the United States, known as Maine. It's a beautiful state, but the standard of living is a bit high because of its beauty, and that it's a popular vacation spot. Hell, it's even called 'Vacationland.'

I joined Youtube mainly to comment on vids, but recently I've discovered how to make my own using a song and a band's album artwork, as seen by some of the items I've upped. Due to that, I think it's pretty easy to tell my love for music.

My stand on 'illegal' downloading: I support it. People forget that pirating and simply downloading a song, album, or a band's discography with the sole intent to enjoy it is different from piracy, which is to burn music to disc and sell it for profit. Those people are disgusting.

I especially think an artist's aim should be to get his (or her) music heard, regardless of the method used, that an artist shouldn't be focused solely on becoming wealthy off his (or her) art.

Now, that doesn't go without saying buying isn't a good option. I've got close to 700 CDs that have been bought over the years, so I try to do my part as well, but sometimes you can't get a certain artist's material where you live, so downloading is the best option. I'm personally not in a position to buy from the internet, so I have to rely on my local music store which, while having a surprising number of bands, doesn't have everything. My goal someday is to own on CD the material of every one of my favourite bands.

Because of my stance, I feel it helpful to an artist by uploading a studio recording of one or two of their songs for the sake of showing them to others, and getting them into it.
