Oh, Pollyanna is actually the name of a girl in the book with the same name, and from what little I know of the plot is that Pollyana was this rather optimistic girl who just made people around her happy. And that's where i'd guess this song got it's name aswell

Why would you respect something you don't believe in? Of course you wouldn't respect it if you can't understand it at all. I think you can't do but respect the disrespect you recieve.
