Michael Silberman is an independent documentary film maker who currently resides in Chicago, IL. For the past decade Michael has been making films which concentrate on certain underlying factors that seem to dominate the collective mind of our society. Michael feels that it is his path to try and offer deeper glimpses into America's way of life, which many remain unaware of, or simply choose to ignore. His latest forty-five documentary cost under two thousand dollars to complete. Michael is also known for his versatility and tends to find his niche within every aspect of the production process. For his latest film, "In Our Backyard," Michael created the concept for the film, conducted countless hours of research, organized interview subjects for the piece along with a small crew, composed the entirety of interview questions along with the narration script, directed the piece, shot the majority of the footage, edited the film, and most recently has been responsible for promotion and distribution of the project. Michael's ideal goal is to further his endeavors as an independent documentary film maker for the rest of his life. Also, by doing so he hopes to invoke new thoughts and questions within the collective mind of his audience, while at the same time promoting positive energy around the world.
