Adult Skating

@WaltzJumps good luck on yours. Yes this season the tests just changed. They moved the spirals down from Silver. I test Silver on March 1, 2012... but I have to do the edge spirals... Not a fan, but spirals are one of my favorite moves so I am not worried about that move.

Nicely done! I am still working to complete the full jumps necessary to move up to the Bronze level. Until then, I am still pre-Bronze! You have a nice flow on the ice along with those good jumps and spins.

Really!?! 2 years! I am just coming up on 2 years myself and have worked my tail off to try to pass my Bronze Free.... it will have to wait longer because I can't get my full flip jump! You are progressing very fast! Thanks for posting such and inspirational video!

I would love to see Michelle in adult competition... she always had such grace and beauty on the ice... what a wonderful time it would be to skate with her as an adult!

injuries are hard to deal with. I found that the bright side was being able to refocus on the fundamentals again. I was suffering not being able to do all the things I was once able to do, but made it out and am continuing to learn new! I know it will come back for you too! Your spins are already...

@SK8G4FUN Thanks for the encouragement. I have my final competition in 2 weeks. Same music, but we moved the program up to an Adult Pre-Bronze level. We shall see what happens! Skating is so much fun.

It is very difficult to teach musicality to people. You get that part of skating! You are moving to the music. The grace and style will come with time and experience. I too am a beginner and am loving it. It is more about the fun of skating than it is about the competition. Keep going! Maybe some...
