Science is not the only way of knowing. Science tells us a lot of stuff about our physical world, but it can't answer any of the most valuable questions: why are we here, where did we come from, where are we going, what ought we to do. In fact science cannot even justify itself. To expect physical evidence for a metaphysical entity (God) is illogical. It's like expecting to see physical evidence of the number four or of the definition of a square.

Are you about done with your anti-Christian, tired, dogmatic, angry mantra yet? It's making you look like a child throwing a tantrum with your fingers in your ears.

Religion doesn't DO anything. It just IS a set of beliefs. What those beliefs are, how the holders come to hold them, and how fervently they hold them are all up to a particular set of beliefs, culture, and ultimately the individual. To generalize all religions as holding that one belief is ignorant and hilariously wrong. All people are religious except for agnostics. You, for example, are religious because you make the statement that God does not exist. Making that statement is to make a statement about the purpose and cause of the universe and humanity (namely that there is no purpose or cause).

You're also working off a definition of 'faith' as 'blind faith'. This is not how all religions define faith. Christianity, for example, defines faith as trust based on evidence and past experience.

You should get in the habit of signifying quotes lest someone accuse you of plagiarism. Fortunately your mastery of the English language is akin to the precision of firing buckshot to hit a target the size of an atom across the known universe, so it was easy to tell.

Name one time a hypothesis was made and then debunked when further evidence came in? The hypotheses that the world is flat, geocentrism, spontaneous generation, luminiferous aether, aristotelian physics. Must I go on?

You can go beyond known physical laws by positing new ones or extrapolating off of old ones.

Religion - a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, especially when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs (dictionary.com)

What science does, in a nutshell, is this: We observe point A and point B. Keeping within known physical laws, we attempt to explain the path from A to B. Many hypotheses can come about, so we gather information and weed out ones that don't fit the data.ya name one time they have done that?keeping with know physical laws??ya no shit how can you not?should they use unknown laws?

what religion does GAWD DONE IT science can you prove it religion nope don't need to we have faith that in almost every case science history shows we are wrong but we don't care cause its what we want the truth to be so it is.

@mormonanswerman

You know what's funny is that you didn't even give an argument against what I said. I'm sorry you're so closed-minded that you can't even look at the historical facts concerning what you espouse. You blocked me because I'm a "friend of Shawn McCraney". I'm not a friend of his, though I know of his work. These are historical facts which anyone can find in a library. I'm sorry that you're so blinded by dogma that you cannot come to terms with the fact that you have been lied to and bought into a false history and belief system.

Come to a personal relationship with Yeshua, and let him take over your life. He will open your eyes.

friend of Shawn McCraney, now blocked. There is no reasoning with you, and there is no reason that any of us should have a discussion about anything remotely religious. Its pointless, and I am done doing this. You go ahead and spread your anti-mormon nonsense elsewhere.

Sadly these responses take about five seconds of thought because it's merely logic and definitions. I'm sorry that you won't see that ToE is not science, and I'm sorry that you can't give any evidence for it outside of pure speculation.

Good day.

It must be really exhausting, having to work so hard to try and justify your bullshit. were done

What science does, in a nutshell, is this: We observe point A and point B. Keeping within known physical laws, we attempt to explain the path from A to B. Many hypotheses can come about, so we gather information and weed out ones that don't fit the data.

What ToE does, in a nutshell, is this: We observe A. We assume B exists based on no observation. We then assume the path from A to imaginary B.

If you don't see the difference between those two, then you lack serious understanding of what science is. If you refuse to accept that one is science and the other is not, then you've come into this with your mind already made up, and you've been blinded by your religion. There's no point in talking further if you don't or won't see the difference.
