About Me:

"If I were to wish for anything, I should not wish for wealth and power, but for the passionate sense of the potential, for the eye which, ever young and ardent, sees the possible. Pleasure disappoints, possibility never. And what wine is so sparkling, what so fragrant, what so intoxicating, as possibility!"

— Søren Kierkegaard (Either/Or: A Fragment of Life)
Country:
United States
Occupation:
Existentialist
Interests:
A heady drink, a stimulating conversation, and, of course, the sun leisurely retiring over a mist laden Atlantic for the back-drop.
Movies:
Proposal: A movie titled "Romance on the Hudson"————————————————— Plot: Alexander Hamilton gets his deserved Fame dramatically portrayed on the silver-screen and Eliza gets her recognition too.
Music:
U2 - their sound envelopes the ear while the Soul dances lively, laughs freely, loves passionately, weeps in empathy, hopes anxiously, and dreams...
Books:
This would take far too much time, but the works of that Danish pseudonymous master is a must for every cultured spirit who seeks to grasp the reins of life and deeply imbibe its passion and intensity. In vino veritas

Hey, I asked a long, long time ago what was the meaning of the horses in the pastures. You never told me. It bugs me-what is the meaning of the horses in the pasture, if any. I mean its starting to rally bug me now.

Bit of a stretch here maybe, but the U2 reference (and preference) also reminded me of a case of "the suspension of the Ethical" which was wonderfully used or interpreted in a very underated film, "Fearless".
With U2 playing on the background, the main character (played by Jeff Bridges) "suspends the ethical"
by crashing a car into a wall and shows the passenger a higher level of existential/religious understanding. It becomes a kind of epiphany for her - an example of Christ figure as contradiction. Peter Weir was the director - a genius of similar type films ("Witness", "The Last Wave","Dead Poet's Society, "Picnic at Hanging Rock").

The actual clip can be found on Youtube (with Rosie Perez as the passenger). I was both stunned and deeply moved when I saw it.
