Gotta say I agree with the other people whose comments I can read - this is played way too fast. This song is meant to be played gracefully and tenderly.

Does anyone happen to know the title of the song used in this clip?

I'm sure someone else has already pointed this out, but the image here is from Kirby's Dreamland 3, and this version of the song isn't in that game.

@thetiedyed We named those two Glenn and Gaspar. The two we rescued after the video was taken are Spekkio and Schala. All four were named after characters in one of our favorite games, Chrono Trigger. :)

@jonwoodscience - Rescue on Fractalus was the first Lucasfilm game to use fractal graphics, and that engine was then modified to produce the caves in The Eidolon. I don't know of any games in general prior to Fractalus that used fractals.

@Konduffi2 - You're absolutely right. Ladybug was pretty darned hard because there was no pattern to the enemy AI. You really couldn't predict where they were going to go at any point, so you were forced to take risks and random chances.

Wow, I have to agree with FVmike - this is a wonderful performance of this very delicate and difficult piece. And the visualization is pretty interesting! The sweeping sections in the beginning and end of the song really do rise and fall like swells on the ocean, don't they? :)

Looks like the engine works similarly to older versions of the Unreal Engine, using separate boxes and plane projection. Pretty interesting and remarkably efficient technique.

@epickirby I get the feeling that would be less dramatic - the final boss fight in Galaxy is not as intense and has shorter transitions, so the effect would be lost. But if you manage to put together such a video, I'd love to see it. :)
