Kids Caring 4 Kids was founded by Kendall Ciesemier. An 11 year old at the time, Kendall was inspired after watching a 2003 Oprah Winfrey Christmas Special. She saw kids, her age, taking care of their younger siblings because both of their parents had died of AIDS and she knew she had to help. That summer, Kendall underwent two liver transplants and decided to ask for donations to her new cause instead of gifts.
Today, Kids Caring 4 Kids has a twofold focus of raising funds for kids in Africa and growing generous hearts and global vision among kids in North America, Kids Caring 4 Kids and its growing army of young activists is on track to raise $1 million to help vulnerable children in need. KC4K has supported eight different projects in five different countries in Africa. All together, Kendall has raised nearly $750,000.
