I play tabla and others drums, music trainer for my family Akmal Khan born in Lahore has a technical education from Lahore. In Norway he was educated as a buisness marketer but he worked in child welfare for 22 years. Akmal grew up with friends who were heavily involved in music in the cultural capital of Pakistan, Lahore. Mid-80's 25 year old, he moved to Trondheim, where he was involved in the musical environment.
Together with three other ethnic Norwegians, they organized the first multi-cultural international festival in Trondheim in 1989. The festival was called "Trondheim in the middle of the world". In Trondheim, he has also played in the theater with Elsa Kvam as an stage-actor. After he had children, it was focused mostly on them and their development in music, but he continued his interest in classical music. When KHANs began to play Indian-classical, was the need for a tabla player great. As a dad, he began to learn the tabla at the same school as his children. He had also played various drums in Pakistan an in Norway earlier and it was easier for them to previous knowledge. In addition to being a father, he is also the adviser and the trainer of the group, create songs and music.
