I like how your low poly items all look fantastic to me and I would be exceptionally proud to have in a game. Makes me fascinated to see the kind of things you're putting more effort into and actually call 'high poly'.

@owensoft I'm no expert, but my guess would either performance issues (trying to render less to keep better FPS, and they're assuming the majority playing their machines don't have quad cores).

And at least for this video they're trying to actively emulate someone else's engine so they did it on...

If I STARE and watch it OVER and OVER again, I notice it. If I were to watch it as part of the whole movie, I highly doubt I would have ever noticed it.

@misterfantasmofan I'm afraid you're wrong sir. He downshifts from 3rd to 2nd then upshifts from 2nd to 5th. It's not really weird though when you have a high revving car. When I had an RX7 I'd take it up to redline in 2nd and skip all the other gears to go to fifth.

@opiumrx The FD3S uses a sequential twin-turbo setup. Tj1056 is correct, it has a small turbo to spool at lower speeds to reduce turbo lag and a large turbo to achiever greater airflow.

@Mocib - Firefall uses a heavily modified version of the Project Offset engine. Interestingly enough, I believe that Red5 Studios is the only licensee and holder of the Project Offset engine, it having been later bought by Intel and discontinued.

@corianderthal Well it just doesn't seem like it says much to me. I'm fairly certain that their Phenom II X4 945+ chips can do this, never mind the Phenom II X6 chips. Without any benchmarks, all this really says is "Look, our new chips can do what our old chips can too."
