If it's debatable what the most moral means to an end are, we still don't have an objective moral code. And who says everyone agrees on what the most moral ends are?

What use are objective morals if we can't verify or agree on what they are and what their hierarchy is? When put in a moral dilem...

If people believe there is nothing after death, how can they fear "nothing"? At least there's no fear of hell, being reincarnated in a crappy body or heaven being not as great as described.
