Reformed Apologetics Ministries KeithTruth.com - Answering-Islam.org

I am nothing but a fallen person who was justified by God through faith - trusting in Jesus' work on the cross. I now wish to grow in God. I believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. I believe Jesus died for people's sins taking the wrath we deserve as the perfect substitute that pleased God. I believe Jesus rose from the dead. I believe we are justified (declared righteous or good) by grace alone through faith alone trusting that Jesus' sacrifice is sufficient to declare us good, and not by our own works - period. I believe people who actually get justified by faith in Jesus' work have noticeable evidence of salvation in their life and a progressive hatred of sin and love for God/holiness instead. I hold to Calvinist theology. I affirm the 5 Solas of the Protestant Reformation. I believe in the Trinity. I believe Jesus will return bodily in the end times to judge the world.

Army, God is in sovereign control over all rulers (Proverbs 21:1;Romans 13:1-3) and they fulfill His decretive or sovereign will. Emotionalism and rebellious humanism may not like that idea but its a Biblical fact. Like Pharaoh in Romans 9 who was raised up as leader for the purpose of being destroyed as an example showing God's wrath and power, so Saul was raised up to be king to show that disobeying God brings judgement. He didn't obey God's decree and he also set up images. Now today people know what happens when someone follows king Saul's example. There was no mistake.

Hey brother Keith,

i'm kind of having a calvenist dilemma can you help me out.
My question is did God make a mistake by choosing Saul to be King?
If so how can God make a mistake is that even possible?

ein, those interested in evidence understand that the apostles of Christ who were martyred for their faith wrote the NT. Any Christian history 101 course would rule our your crazy position.

james, no one has ever claimed the word trinity is in the Bible. Historic Christianity says the doctrine is taught. One God. Three eternally distinct persons who are deity. Denying the Trinity does make you a heretic according not t just me, but most Christians. That is an essential doctrine, not a non-essential. I would urge you to buy some materials affirming the Trinity and convert. Buy White's "The Forgotten Trinity", Bowman's "Putting Jesus in His Place", Morey's "The Trinity: Evidence and Issues"

odd, i have never been able to find the term "trinity" in the bible or scriptures. also, why do jewish people of various consistencies, when they write the the letter word for the creator deity, spell it like this "G-d"? i can find no one who names the name of christ that i can make myself become a part of. does that make me an existential christian heretic? or am i just a dumb prophet in a wilderness cave afraid of some imagined jezebel with a baphomet psychosis?
