Censorship is a bad thing, it hampers education, science, entertainment, and civilization in general, at its very roots, censorship is the intention of stopping something from being said because it is unkosher to someone's mind. But why? Why should anything be left unsaid? Sure, the mature person will use discretion with his words, but why completely disallow someone to make the decision for him/herself?

To me, free speech is important so that the most offensive sewage can be spewed. If you are allowed to reveal who you are, and let people know you're arrogant, ignorant and malevolent, then we know, and we don't, any longer, have to take you seriously, but you can still say whatever stupid or hateful thing you want.
