I know this is supposed to be a joke, but I really would approve of legalizing EVERYTHING at a federal level. Violence is already handled by the states, and I've never heard of a I actually approved of aside from that.

Its always the same thing: "I'm going to cut taxes for YOU, go line by line cutting WASTE, increase spending on what we all want, and BALANCE the budget."

Even with all of the entitlements that they receive (which isn't really all that much), they are a net benefit by any economist's measure. They aren't taking our jobs anymore than slaves or machinery would take our jobs. They are allowing us to further specialize.

Well, no reason except that it disagrees with all other temperature measurements. So while two people can have different batting averages, two temperatures can't exist at the same time and place. So arbitrarily omitted, in that it is known the measurements disagree with reality, so ...

I use AT&T, and it sucks. I actually don't even get service in my house, and I live in the middle of a ~400,000 person city (Reno). But it is substantially cheaper than the other plans (except Cricket and those people suck even worse).

The market is whatever interactions free people make in trade. And it does provide everything. If I want to eat, I go buy food. If I want a phone, I go buy it.

If you want it, it behooves someone to make it. So in that sense, yes it provides everything.

I'd watch Santoro's story, but the rest would be nauseatingly boring and pedantic.

Parents have the authority to say what is best for the children. Otherwise we must accept that a panel should be able to say whether anything we do is the 'right' way to raise a child.
