@ChromeCelica00 Gotcha. I'm playing through a Boss GT-8 and I've probably only figured out about half of all of its doodads and gizmos. I'll tinker around with it and see if I can get it sounding purdy.

@DJIvanTodorov I was looking at the PRX line and saw that the frequency curve on the 2-way 615 was flatter than the 635. That kinda surprised me. Would the mid-high vocals and such sound clearer through a 3-way since each driver is a little more dedicated to a frequency range than a 2-way?

@soundworksav You're totally right. I was just saying that a 10dB increase on paper sounds like doubling the volume to your ear. For example, if I played some pink noise at 80 dB, then 90dB, it would sound twice as loud to your ear. You can only do so much with car audio. I can't tell you how man...

What's the RMS SPL of the ELX115p? For me, max SPL is useless information targeted to advertize. What I really want as a sound guy is the RMS power specs.

@agiprodj I'd like to bounce off of this thread a little bit. The 635 is a 3-way, so it's supposedly better at reproducing the full spectrum better than the 2-way 615. However, when you look at their frequency sweeps, the 615 is flatter than the 635. Why is that?

What's your opinion on EV stuff? I'm trying to decide if I should pick up some JBL PRX615m's, or some EV ELX115p's. Both are self-powered 15" mains with nearly identical specs on paper.

@thedoubleB15 I'm quite the opposite. I don't really like Dodge, but that Cummins does sound awfully beastly.
